Support to farmers' organizations of Plateau Dogon region for the valorization of horticultural products

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:
Strengthening the competitiveness and modernization of agriculture.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE:
The project aims at the intensification and diversification of vegetable production in the Plateau Dogon and the increase of its networks’ competitiveness as well as the revenues of the targeted population.



PROJECT AREA:
About one hundred villages in the Dogon plateau.

COMPONENTS:

• Capacity building of the farmer-based organizations with the support of State training services and other structures not state-owned involved in the management of the horticultural network in the region of Mopti;
• Diversification and securization of the horticultural network by supporting the access to resources and to production means;
• Increase of the horticultural production values and income of vulnerable target groups through the establishment of cooling center, processing, access to market, competitiveness and modernization.
