OVERALL OBJECTIVE:
Reducing rural poverty and household food insecurity on a sustainable basis.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE:
The project aims at the intensification, diversification and valorization of agricultural products in the Kindia region.

PROJECT AREA:
Kindia and the rural communities of Friguiagbé, Damakhania, Molota and Samaya.

COMPONENTS:

• Building on experiences and on existing local dynamics within farmer-based organizations;
• Strengthening the participative and gender approaches;
• Involvement of local stakeholders and building synergism among them;
• Development of local products, agricultural and agri-food biodiversity, and strengthening of a partnership with the "Slow Food" Foundation.

BENEFICIARIES:
The project targets 4 150 households (approximatively 16 500 producers), reaching beteween 50 000 and 60 000 direct and indirect beneficiaries.
